The first tenant of yoga is ahimsa which means non-harming. Pain is not gain. Remember your breath and modify for your body and needs.
There's no 'keeping up'.

Yoga is a personal journey. Draw motivation and appreciation from those practicing around you but don't compare. Go slow, stay mindful, and maintain a regular yoga practice.

Namaste has become a signifier of the end of a yoga class. It has a beautiful meaning. Literally practiced and translated, it means "bow to you" and is a greeting of respect.

Hi! I'm new to Yoga 101. How do I join my first class?Head on over to our Membership page and select a package that's right for you by clicking on the 'sign up' button and then create an account. Once you're up and running you can follow us on Instagram and book right from our Linktree for ease of use or use the Mindbody app. We can't wait to see you!
-
What should you expect your first class? Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to get settled in. Please make the instructor aware of any injuries or medical conditions you may have. Dress comfortably, and be ready to take your shoes and socks off. We do have cubbies inside the studio to store your belongings. We also have showers for your convenience. Please also remember to turn your phone on silent.
-
What is your reservation policy? We strongly recommend reserving in advance as many classes reach capacity. Reservations are available online only. They open 7 days in advance and close 30 minutes before the start of a class and are available first-come, first-served. Walk in guests are welcomed if space allows. Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes before class if you are new or need to purchase a new pack or membership.
-
What should I wear?We advise dressing in athletic attire that allows for movement and stretching. Wear something you'll feel comfortable sweating in. For all classes, you must have a mat. For warm lessons or if you simply find that you perspire more than usual throughout your practice, we also advise that you bring a mat towel and/or bath towel. Mats and towels are available for rent from the studio for a charge if you don't have your own or forget them. For all classes, there are shared props available. If you'd like, you can also bring your own or buy them from our store. We have cubbies in each studio to store phones, shoes, and personal items while you practice. We recommend only bringing in essential items for practice and leaving valuables and unnecessary items at home.
